Wow

WOW! I'll say that backwards Wow. We had an amazing group of friends, family, coworkers and fellow adoptive families meet us at the airport. Thank YOU! Yes the kids are already into the clothes, toys and food. What awesome friends you all are.

Home!

Even made me (Jim) cry thinking about it all this morning.

If we are this excited to bring the kids to our home I can only imagine the celebration when God brings all of (us) his kids home.

That was the biggest welcoming crowd I've seen yet! I'm still smiling thinking about it all myself. We are all so thrilled for your family. We will have to get the Ukrainian crew all together soon, but we may have to rent a banquet room to fit us all!

Welcome home! And I just want to add that the bonus fun of wondering around the DIA, 5 level, gigantic parking garage with arm-loads full of gifts was just awesome. There's nothing like succesfully navigating Chicago O'Hare Airport, Zurich, Switzerland Airport and Borispol in Ukraine only to have more than a dozen of us get lost in an airport parking garage we've been to countless times with the temperature in the low teens and the wind ripping through at near hurricane force-can we do it all again? Please? That way I can insure a completely frozen "Ice cycle Aimee" for several more days and the countless moments of joy that brings; yes, men, that's right-who among us doesn't enjoy and welcome enduring a temperature challenged, cold-blooded, snuggy wrapped, permanently frozed toed, car heater blasting (in the face, nonetheless so your mouth gets completely dried out and which also lulls you to sleep as you drive 45 miles home at mid-night-and she gets to snooze at her discretion the whole time), WIFE! Oh, not to mention that we had a 12 passenger van at our disposal which we could have used to drive all of us and the gifts in under 2 minutes, but someone didn't want to pay the extra $2.00 it would have cost to exit and enter the parking garage-no, we'd rather pay the extra $4.00 it cost for the extra hour we spent wondering around!!! To top it off, while everyone else piled into the van, we were parked on the 5th level and got the added joy of having no elevator available and got to walk an extra 10 minutes up wind-tunnel tested steps. Yes, there's nothing that makes you feel like you've served your wife well more than when she literally cannot move her face or mouth to speak to you because she is, indeed, 1/2 frozen! You know, the adoption fun and games just doesn't end when you get home with your own, no, it just keeps giving and giving.

Congratulations! We pray God's blessings on you as you are all home together as a family, finally! It's been a pleasure to follow you on your journey and we look forward to meeting your children someday too.
(We met you all at the SDA when we picked up our referrals at the same time.) Happy New Year!
